Juntos Se Puede is honored to announce the following scholarships award to these well-deserved students. Help us congratulate them.

 

2020 HONOREES

 

NANCY MANDUJANO – Nancy Mandujano is the 2020 recipient of the “Juntos Se Puede Scholarship”. Nancy graduated from North Side High School. She was active in the Northside Inter-Community Agency, After School Program at Rufino Mendoza Elementary School, Holy Name Catholic Church, Mariachi Espuelas, Robotics Club, President of the Mariachi Program, member of TRIO, Educational Talent Search Program, President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Circle of Winners Program, Member of National Honor Society, and the Varsity Mariachi Group. She now attends Texas A & M University at College Station majoring in Mechanical Engineering. After receiving her degree Nancy plans on helping other North Side High School Seniors with the opportunity of receiving scholarships to focus on a higher education. Nancy will be receiving $500.00 for the next 4 years.

 

AZUL GONZALEZ– Azul Gonzalez is the 2020 Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient, sponsored by David and Cassandra Cerda “In Memory of Mary S. Perez”. Azul graduated from North Side High School. She was active in the Marching Band, Concert Band, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, National Honor Society, Texas Future Music Educators, Robotics, B-Sharp Youth Orchestra, Jazz Band, Book Club, Steer Crew, Winter Guard, and Softball. She now attends Texas A & M University, where she is majoring in Engineering. After college Azul plans to help other Hispanic students towards success by obtaining higher education. Azul will be receiving $500.00 for the next 4 years.

 

MICHAEL J. DELGADO – Michael J. Delgado is the 2020 Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient, sponsored by The Hernandez Family “In Memory Julio M. Hernandez and Andrea Hernandez.”. Michael graduated from North Side High School. He was active is in National MS Society Bike Race, Joe’s Run, Great Amazing Race, Main Street Arts Festival, North Side Summer Volleyball Camp, North Side Senior Car Show, Vice President of Senior Class, Varsity Soccer Captain, Varsity Volleyball Manager. Michael now attends Texas Christian University and is majoring in Biology. He hopes his hard work and sacrifices will lead him to medical school. Michael wishes to inspire other students to become leaders and give back to their community. Michael will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship for the next 4 years.

JULISSA ARANGO – Julissa Arango is the 2020 Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient sponsored by “TP Golf Tournament”. Julissa graduated from Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences. She has volunteered for Artes De La Rosa and Harris Hospital. She was involved in the Prom Committee, Green Team, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, Latinas in Progress and Link Leader. One of her personal goals is to become an inspiring Latina woman to show other young ladies to believe in themselves. She is a business management major at Tarleton State University. Julissa plans on becoming the CEO of her own company. She hopes to be able to give back to her family one day. Julissa will be receiving $500.00 for the next 4 years.

 

2019 RECIPIENTS

 

MARIA RODRIGUEZ – Maria Rodriguez is a second year Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient sponsored by “Hispanic Organization Helping Others”. She graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School. Maria currently attends The University of North Texas in Denton. Maria is grateful to have the support of Juntos Se Puede. She appreciates JSP helping her get closer to her career and have the college experience. This scholarship has increased her self-assurance. Maria is a Science major and plans to continue her education by seeking a master’s degree in health administration. She hopes to have time to participate with Juntos Se Puede upcoming events. One of her life goals is to give back to her community. Maria Rodriguez will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

LETICIA JAIMES DEMECIO – Leticia Jaimes-Demecio is a second-year scholarship recipient of the “Juntos Se Puede Scholarship”. She graduated from Diamond-Hill Jarvis High School. Leticia currently attends The University of North Texas in Denton. Leticia wants to thank Juntos Se Puede for making her dreams possible. Juntos Se Puede has inspired Leticia to give to others. She shares that Juntos has helped her focus more on her education and less on finances. She would like to inspire other Hispanic females to higher education, no matter finance circumstances. She would love to give back to her Diamond Hill community. Leticia will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

ANGELINA VILLATORO – Angelina Villatoro is a second year Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient sponsored by “Goodfellas Golf Club”. She graduated from Diamond-Hill Jarvis High School. Angelina attends Tarrant County College. She would like to thank Juntos Se Puede for giving her the opportunity to attend college. She was able to purchase her textbooks for her classes. Angelina will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

KARLA RAMIREZ – Karla Ramirez is a second year Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient sponsored by “Sandra Garcia”. She graduated from North Side High School. Karla attends The University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Criminal Justice. She is thankful to Juntos Se Puede Organization, as the scholarship has released financial stress from her and her parents. Karla will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

MILAGRO RIOS – Milagro Rios is a second year Juntos Se Puede recipient scholarship sponsored by Robert Eva Bonilla “In Memory of Jesse and Elena Sandoval”. She graduated from North Side High School Milagro attends Tarrant County College, where she is seeking her Associates Degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Technology. Juntos Se Puede have motivated her to work harder in her education as well as staying on track to graduate. She does not think she would be able to attend college if it were not for Juntos Se Puede. Milagro will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

HENESSY J. PAREDES – Henessy J. Paredes is a second year Juntos Se Puede scholarship recipient sponsored by “State Rep. Ramon Romero Jr. District 90”. He graduated from North Side High School. He is attending the University at Arlington majoring in Business Management. Henessy gives thanks Juntos Se Puede for taking the financial stress off of him and keeping him focused. He has been able to maintain a good GPA. He is also thankful that his parents don’t have worry about his educational finances. Henessy will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

2018 RECIPIENTS

 

SONIA DIAZ – Sonia Diaz is a third-year recipient of the “Juntos Se Puede Scholarship”. She graduated from Young Women’s Leadership Academy. Sonia attends Texas Wesleyan University majoring in Bilingual Early Childhood Education. Sonia is grateful for the scholarship provided by Juntos. It has allowed her to be active in student activities. She is in the Bilingual Education Student Organization, Kappa Delta Pi, The International Honor Society and the Education Secretary at Texas Wesleyan. She wants to pay it forward after college and make a difference in her community in growing a new generation of leaders. Sonia will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

DENISE MURILLO – Denise Murillo is a third-year recipient of the “Juntos Se Puede Scholarship” Denise attends The University of Texas at Arlington. She graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School Juntos Se Puede has helped her pay for her textbooks and supplies for school. She is happy to be part of the Juntos Se Puede family. Denise will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.

 

2017 RECIPIENTS

 

RUBEN MENDEZ – Ruben Mendez is a fourth-year recipient of the “Juntos Se Puede Scholarship” Ruben attends Texas A&M University at College Station. He is an Industrial Distribution major and minoring in Business. Ruben is excited to get his Aggie Ring in September. Ruben will start his internship this summer with PepsiCo. He is also a supervisor for the department of recreational sports. Ruben is a proud North Side High School alumni. He wants to thank Juntos Se Puede for helping him these four years with his college expenses. Ruben promises to give back to Juntos Se Puede after he starts his career. He wants to give other students the same opportunity he has been given. Ruben will be receiving a $500.00 scholarship.
